Great research opportunity for students at the world largest linear accelerator!

The 3.4km long XFEL at DESY in Hamburg is the world's largest linear accelerator. It has just been launched in 2017 and opens up a host of exciting opportunities for research in areas that were previously inaccessible, including analysis of the molecular composition of cells, filming chemical reactions and mapping atomic details of viruses.

You now have the chance to become part of this great endeavour through one of our collaborators at DESY, as a Bachelor's thesis or an internship. For more information, refer to our Theses page.
